Hello users of myfarewellnote.com :)
My name is Paula Kiel and I'm a researcher in the department of media and communications at LSE. I'm currently conducting research on digital legacy services, and would really love to hear from users. If you could spare about 30 minutes of your time for an informal conversation about using myfarewellnote (or similar services), I would really love to hear your thoughts and insights. My research is completely independent from myfarewellnote.com and your anonymity will be kept at all times. To schedule an interview or for further information, please email me: p.kiel@lse.ac.uk
Thank you!
If you're interested in my research, here's a TEDx talk I gave related to my research: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfQBCi-6d3E

Very interesting link and topic. Very true, in this day and age there are so many ways to communicate after your death, and the death of loved ones. Even more interesting is the fact that some people find it difficult to say what they want to say while they are here, but fall short of saying it before they depart this world. Anyone who signed up, we would be grateful if you would contact Paula to assist her with her research, thanks you. Steve

I've signed up on the understanding it was a private and personal service for myself and my recipients only. Not sure I would want to share that with other people, even for research, no offence.

Dear Soldier One,
No offence at all, I really appreciate you writing this comment.
And yes, the service is indeed private and personal.
As said, I'm completely independent from the website. I've opened this thread so that users who do want to talk about their experience of using it (or other services) could contact me in private, but I absolutely appreciate that this is highly personal and sensitive and perhaps people are not interested in sharing their thoughts regarding any of this.
Thanks again for your comment, I really appreciate it.

Hi Soldier one. Appreciate the thread and yes the service is private and confidential. Paula is doing research on the subject and would like anyone interested to contact her with their views and experience, i.e., why you signed up, reasons, where you see this going in the future, who you left notes for and why etc, all basic non prying questions. Thank you for signing up, if you can help Paula or know anyone who uses our service or one like it, please let them know, much appreciated, kind regards Steve MFN team.

Hi all at myfarewellnote. I'm sure its not, but is this a scam email? My brother wrote to the email supplied and did not get an answer ( unless it went to junk mail folder) we would be happy to contact if its genuine, kind regards, Surendra.

Hi Surendra,
This is definitely not a scam and I would love to talk to you.
I didn't receive an email (nor is it in my junk mail) so I really don't know what went wrong - sorry for this! Would you mind emailing me again at:
p.kiel@lse.ac.uk
Alternatively, you may leave here your email and I'll contact you ASAP.
Thank you again so much and sorry for this inconvenience.
